Updates for December 21, 2008 Oh Hey Gaiz. We've been in a state of inactivity, I thought i'd crawl out of my rock and start helping out this club. I just want to tell you we aren't completely dead. :} But around this time of year we're slightly busy... Well, I am anyway.
Guys please, i've seen a little bit of this going around, maybe I should take care of it before it becomes a big problem, if you see an editor, don't make them cry, don't flame them, teach them, give then the facts to help make them honest and contributing artists to this community.
Examples:
YES
"Hi.
I want to tell you that stealing art/recoloring/editing isn't allowed here on DA, we'd love to see your real art"This tells them that it isn't allowed, while encouraging them to be original. :]
NO
"You fail so hard for recoloring things."
That's not cool, it doesn't have any facts, justs puts them down.
So when reporting and talking to these people, make sure you remember they are humans and are capable of learning right from wrong.

Being an AEC manager is a lot of work. Want to make our job easier? You can help by reporting deviations and deviants yourself. But remember, harassing them could get you banned from Deviant Art so try a nice approach. To report a deviation click the "Report Deviation" link above the deviation details. It's not so much the club and members hate edits (though that is a big part of it, granted) as much as it is that edits are NOT allowed on DA. They are a form of art-theft by DA's standards, and most people's standards as well.
